New Police Scanner Streaming Feed for the Round Lake Area

You can now listen to the police scanner for our Round Lake area.  Radio Reference is now providing a feed for Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, and Round Lake Park Police.  Jeff Kissinger, a resident of Round Lake Heights is running the server for this scanner feed and Radio Reference is providing the connection server.  A special thanks to Radio Reference for doing a fantastic job.

  • Ealy guilty in killing of Lindenhurst Burger King manager
    James Ealy was found guilty Friday of the murder of his former boss during a 2006 robbery of the Lindenhurst Burger King. The jury delivered the verdict Friday after deliberating about three hours. Members of the victim's family welcomed the verdict. "The verdict won't bring (Hutchison) back, but it makes it so he won't murder anyone else," the victim's son said.

    The sixth annual College of Lake County Memorial Day ceremony took place at noon Friday, at the college's Willow Lake Veterans Memorial on the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The outdoor ceremony sponsored by the CLC Veterans Memorial Task Force Committee was held with the help of staff from Naval Station Great Lakes.
  • Waukegan man identified as victim in Zion shooting
    Zion Police are investigating a shooting in a grocery store parking lot that took the life of a Waukegan man late Thursday. Police were called to the Aldi Foods parking lot in the 2800 block of Sheridan Road at 4:34 p.m. Thursday for a report of shots fired, officials announced. The victim was identified Friday as 23-year-old Mutassem Abdelaziz of Waukegan.
